Magnesium is an essential mineral our body needs to function properly and provides many health benefits.

Magnesium is found in many foods.  Dairy products, fish, meat, and seafood all contain magnesium.  Other rich food sources include green leafy vegetables, kelp, apples, bananas, avocadoes, cantaloupe, grapefruit, lemons, peaches, apricots, garlic, lima beans, dried beans, black-eyed peas, tofu, soybeans, nuts, and brown rice, as well as whole grain breads and ready-to-eat cereals.

Poor dietary choices and insufficient amounts of foods containing magnesium can result in deficiency.  Also, as we age magnesium can become more difficult for our body to absorb and utilize effectively.  The good news is one of the most effective ways to get magnesium into our cells is by absorption through our skin.  And once again AIM delivers.
